Cafeteria bar counter

The Atelier des Lumières enlisted the Bar Circus team to design and produce the bar for the museum's cafeteria. The menu of this cafeteria offers a simple selection of snacks and both cold and hot drinks. Upon opening, the goal is to serve the entire menu directly from the bar. Therefore, it was necessary to design a compact bar that includes a refrigerator, glass washer, dishwasher, draft beer dispenser, coffee station, and cash register.

One of the major challenges was transforming a counter, previously used as a souvenir shop, into a bar area. It was necessary to adapt the networks and integrate the equipment as if they had been designed for this location from the start. Thus, the coffee machine partially rests on the tiled counter and on a custom stainless steel extension. The washing equipment, chosen for their compact dimensions, were also optimally integrated. The beer column was installed directly on the counter with a drainage system integrated into the sink area's worktop.

We also planned for the possibility of evolving the bar. If necessary, to increase the number of refrigerators, the unit under the coffee machine was designed in such a way as to allow the replacement of shelves with an additional refrigerator.

This project demonstrated that a restricted space can always be adapted and modified to meet the new needs of the counter.
