Custom micro bar

Le Bistrot des Tournelles is a place for which we created a custom compact bar using the traditional restoration method. This venue has 26 seats, and despite its size, it was voted the best bistro in France for the year 2023.

We had the pleasure of working for Édouard Vermynck (formerly of Entrée des Artistes) and chef Geoffroy Langella, the new owners. During our first visit, the bar and the room needed a good update to start off on the right foot. For the bar unit, they wanted to keep the original facade and marble and only change the interior.

After analyzing the structure, we agreed to only change the bar counter to create a custom-made stainless steel bar top. This solution also allowed us to reinforce the woodwork structure and replace the flooring with a new one.

Since the bar was very small and poorly dimensioned, we had to find a particularly low refrigeration unit to fit under the counter. The limited space at the bar required prioritizing the glass sink at the main sink return of the room near the office.
The brass column is a column that contains a chilled filtered water system.

The custom-made bar station therefore includes a grid with drainage for the water column, a 5L ice bin for service, an insulated compartment for service bottles, and a sink. A very simple and effective custom bar, a bistro service with integration, all without modifying the original furniture.
